In response to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) adopted on June 19 2023, Dr. Morita has taken on the mission of advancing marine conservation and supporting global climate action. The brand proudly sponsored the Climate Change Art Contest for Elementary and Junior High School Students, organized by the TAISE, under the theme “Hi Ocean! Let’s Create A Blue Miracle Together!”
This initiative aims to inspire students to understand the importance of harmonious coexistence between humanity and the planet. Winning artworks were displayed at the Asia-Pacific Forum & Exposition for Sustainability (SDG Asia EXPO), held at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 from Sep. 11 to 13, calling everyone to join hands in ocean conservation.
The core goal of this initiative is to encourage students to deepen their understanding and reflection on marine ecology through artistic creation. By expressing their thoughts and emotions through painting, participants are encouraged to reflect on the value of natural resources and consider actionable steps in their daily lives to protect our shared environment. Dr. Morita hopes this creative journey will enhance students’ environmental awareness and foster a sense of ecological responsibility.
At the SDG Asia EXPO, the award-winning artworks were exhibited to the public, drawing significant attention and inspiring discussions on environmental protection. Through this exhibition, Dr. Morita hopes to resonate with the public, inspiring collective climate action and motivating everyone to become a guardian of the Earth. The Expo also provided an international platform for young artists to showcase their talents, gain recognition, and build confidence through creative expression.

According to TAISE, all submitted artworks were reviewed by a professional judging panel, with winning entries exhibited during the event. Interactive activities and prize giveaways added excitement to the event, with over 100 prizes distributed daily.
